A few things have happened since I last posted:

| Those new boots from Costco were worth it! |
Edmonton got hit real bad with some snow! Melvin warned me about the snow but I didn't think we'd get 20-30 cm in a day. Word of advice for anyone not driving a mighty pick-up truck or durable AWD vehicles...pay for the covered/underground parking. :( my car did arrive, the lovely shipping company (ABR Shipping) told me it arrived when I called them the next day. If they called me the evening before (like they said they would...), I could've driven it home in great weather instead of a snow storm where Hwy 2 was crawling. Woo. Of course after all that mess of me trying to navigate the car into the parking lot and out again (and getting stuck), the parking lot's finally been cleared up and the snow's been melting a bit because it went back to around 0 this week.

| Merino wool socks from Costco - I swear this post isn't an ad for Costco. |

Yesterday I took the bus (too lazy to walk for half an hour) to Chinatown, to go to
Lucky 97. I went to look for a small metal plate for steaming, and didn't find it, but in terms of food, the selection and prices are great! I am definitely going to do more groceries there hahaha. And their own in-house loaves are only $1.50 or so, and they have hot food and bubbletea, but I didn't try any of those yet. Unfortunately, Original Milk Tea for $1.99 seems to just be a Toronto thing, but Dream Tea House is still fulfilling my bubbletea needs... ah, first world problems.
